In every country in the world there are different rituals to welcome the new year.
In Spain and some Latin American countries you are supposed to eat twelve grapes as the clock strikes 12 in order to bring good luck, while in Italy and Chile it is lentils that augur good fortune. The Danes, however, take the opportunity to break their old dishes outside their loved ones’ front doors in order to show their appreciation. On the other hand, the Mexicans sweep their house clean to attract luck. For their part, both the Scots and the Vietnamese remain vigilant to see who the first person who enters a house on the new year is, since it will determine the fate of the family in the coming months. What responsibility!
Whatever the case, there are virtually no places that lack toasts, firecrackers, the hustle and bustle, partying, music, fireworks…
So whatever your choice may be, we advise you to welcome 2010 with much joy and good vibes. Wherever you are, a Happy and Pacololero 2010 to you all!
