Last week Paco & Lola was back on the catwalks, from the bright lights and glamour of Madrid, to the fresh creativity of A Coruña.
Firstly we supported our friend and collaborator, Maria Barros and her collection for Cibeles Fashion Week in Madrid and later in the week we checked in with the up and coming urban fashion designers of Daisymarket Showroom in A Coruña.
Cibeles was a great success this year and dominated the media for the best part of a week. Maria Barros was right there in the thick of the action presenting her pure and genuine spring-summer collection, ‘Moi’, a collection defined by stunning volumes and forms.
All of Maria’s VIP guests will receive a gift from Paco & Lola and we look forward to hearing Maria’s thoughts this season’s collections.
Next up was Daisymarket, a fantastic way to discover the fun, creative ideas of some of Spain’s young designers in a wonderful space with a lunar theme designed by Juan Morandeira from Space-Indesign. We were surprised by the wide range of accessories on show and Daisymarket also offered some interesting workshops, parties and events.
All of the participants received a Paco & Lola fan, which soon came in handy, and we rewarded our favorite designers with a bottle of Paco & Lola. It wasn’t easy to pick favorites given the high standards but we opted for: Living the Crafts, Chicadecanela, Maya Kaloyanova, Masqmay, The Holly & Molly Headband, 8008–d, Síndrome Creativo, Carmen Nieto and Blackhaus. Google them or check them out via the Daisymarket website!
The first day of Daisymarket also saw a buzzing Paco & Lola opening party where the designers and visitors enjoyed a glass or two of Paco & Lola Albariño, chatted about the show and kicked the weekend off to the sounds of the DJ.
See some of the faces that made the day on our Flickr, and Facebook, pages.
