On June 9th Rías Baixas celebrated their aptly named Rías Baixas Albariño Grand Tasting and Paco & Lola was there in the thick of all the action at Zengo in midtown Manhattan.

With the help of our US importer, Majestic Imports, more than 150 sommeliers, restauranteurs, wine journalists and importers were able to enjoy Paco & Lola and some delicious food. The Zengo team of the venue prepared an amazing range of latin-asian fusion gourmet delights under the baton of head chef, Richard Sandoval, winner of the Bon Appetít Restauranteur of the Year and Mexican Toque d’Oro awards.

The Rías Baixas Grand Tasting kicked off an intense and successful week in NYC dedicated to Albariño wines with a series of tastings, food pairing and promotional events all designed to bring our wonderful grape and the wines of the region to New York’s wine experts and afficionados.
